MOBY tariffs for Residents and those Born in Sardinia

The MOBY offer gives native or resident Sardinians, as well as their married or civil partners and dependent children, a discount on the base fare and the opportunity to travel advantageously easy.

The discounts will be applied to the spouse or companion and/or to the dependent children of those resident or born in Sardinia listed on the same ticket simply with self-certification. An identity document for each person must be attached, but it is no longer necessary to show the family composition certificate. Download the self-certification form.

These favourable terms are also applicable to the spouses and/or companions and/or dependent children who are not themselves resident, if they travel without the person resident or born in Sardinia so long as, together with the self certification, they present a copy of a valid identity document of the person born or resident in Sardinia.

Rules

• To take advantage of the special tariffs for those resident or born in Sardinia, passengers must produce, when they purchase the ticket in an agency and when boarding, a valid certification of their residence or birth in a Sardinian municipality.
• If the person born or resident in Sardinia travels with his spouse or companion and/or dependent children, self-certification will be sufficient to obtain the discount, without the need to present a family composition certificate.
• The spouse and/or companion and dependent children who are not themselves resident or born in Sardinia and are travelling without the person who was born or resident there, must attach to the ticket self certification and an identity document of each passenger and of the person born or resident in Sardinia, without the need to present a family composition certificate.
• Without this documentation, it will not be possible to board with tickets issued with the “resident or born” tariff and it will be necessary to purchase a new ticket at the full price. The “resident or born” tariff ticket will not be reimbursed.
• The offer is not retroactive.
• For certain departures the places reserved for the residents’ tariff may be limited.

Tirrenia Resident or Born Tariff

Tirrenia shows its commitment to Sardinia with the special tariff for those resident or born on the island.
The discount is available to all persons, European Community citizens and others, who produce documentation that shows their residence or birth on the island they are leaving or returning to.
The discount may be applied to employees, pensioners or the unemployed.

Rules of validity

• The special tariff is applicable exclusively to vehicles registered in the name of the person resident or born on the island.
• To qualify for the tariffs for persons resident or born in Sardinia, passengers must show, when they purchase the ticket and when boarding, a valid registry certificate showing they are entitled to the tariff requested.
• In the absence of this documentation it will not be possible to board with tickets issued at the “resident or born” tariff and it will be necessary to purchase a new, full price ticket. The “resident or born” tariff ticket will not be reimbursed.
• A ticket issued with the residents’ tariff associated with a special offer may not be reimbursed.
• If the person resident or born in Sardinia is travelling together with their spouse and/or their dependent children and/or minors, the discount will be applied on production of a family composition certificate.
• The spouse and children who are not resident and are travelling without the person born or resident on the island must attach to their ticket a family composition certificate together with an identity document for each passenger and the person born or resident in Sardinia.
